Amy Hollen, MD
Dr. Amy grew up locally in Forest Hills. She graduated from Michigan State University with an undergrad and then attended their College of Human Medicine. She completed her residency in Rockford, IL. She has been practicing medicine for over 25 years in West Michigan. She is board certified and belongs to the American Academy of Family Physicians. She had always dreamed of owning her own clinic and through her perseverance, in 2019, she made that dream a reality.
Her specialty is Family Medicine which means she cares for patients from newborn to geriatric age. Although, her pediatric patients hold a special place in her heart, she cares deeply for all her patients. She prides herself on staying up to date on current medical knowledge and loves to share her knowledge with her patients. She actively focuses on preventative medicine as a means to strive for better health outcomes for her patients. She believes the key to good health is knowing the risk factors and working with her patients reach their optimal goals.
Dr. Amy's philosophy to medicine: She believes that the best approach to overall health starts with a good understanding of why and how we are planning to treat the underlying health issue.
Family Nurse Practitioner
Dana Marino, FNP-BC
Dana is a Grand Rapids native. Olivet Nazarene University is where she earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Nursing, as well as a B.S. in Social Services. Dana completed her Master of Science in Nursing degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Grand Valley State University. It was during her time at GVSU that Dana was inducted into the National Honor Society of Nursing for Community Engagement. She has been working in the health field for over 25 years. Over twenty of those years as a Nurse Practitioner with experience in both in-patient and out-patient settings, such as Family Medicine & Women’s Health, College & Adolescent Health, as well as Emergency and Hospitalist Medicine. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, as well as the American College Health Association.
Dana's philosophy to medicine: She believes that you should “treat the person, not the disease”; meaning what works for one person doesn’t mean it will work for everyone, so you need to know the person you are treating. Dana also believes that she is just a member of a team which includes the patient and the patient’s network of support. She is there to provide guidance and education in order to make informed decisions that best impact your health. Having experience in functional medicine, Dana appreciates attempting treatment from a holistic approach when reasonable to do so. She also enjoys young adults and women’s health issues.
Primary Care Nurse Practitioner
Jennifer Marklevitz, MSN, AGNP-C
Jenny is a Detroit native but fell in love with West Michigan and its culture. She graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran College with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). She began her work as a registered nurse in 2012 with experience in Post Bariatrics, Gynecology, Gastrointestinal Care, Intensive Care, and Post-ICU Case Management. She was a Daisy Award nominee multiple times, awarded the Star Award and iCare Award for her outstanding patient care. It was through her love of patient care that she decided to become a Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from Maryville University with Honors in August of 2019 as a Primary Nurse Practitioner. She has been working in the health field for over 13 years, with the last six years as a Nurse Practitioner. Since 2019, she has been board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (A-GPCNP).
Jenny’s philosophy to medicine: As a dedicated Nurse Practitioner she is committed to treating the whole person, not just the disease. Her approach to care focuses on building meaningful relationships, empowering patients with knowledge about their health status, and partnering with them to achieve long-term health and wellness. She believes that understanding each patient’s unique story is essential to providing compassionate, personalized care.
